The CPIA applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Be a PIA Kansas member (or licensed staff of a PIA Kansas member) andwho has been licensed in property/casualty for a minimum of two years.

The Student applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Be a relative of a current member of the PIA Kansas and/or have a sponsoring member.
- Be a graduating senior currently attending a Kansas high school that is approved and accredited by the State Department of Education or a young person currently attending college and pursuing a BUSINESS DEGREE with the intent of working in the insurance industry.
- Demonstrate scholastic application and intend to continue his/her education. The selection committee will also consider the applicants’ participation in school and community activities, leadership skills, and educational goals.
Please note:
Scholarship recipients are free to select any accredited college or university. It is highly recommended that the applicant intend to major in business or a business-related field.
The Professional Insurance Agents of Kansas scholarship committee will determine the number and amount of scholarships to be awarded each year. These numbers and amounts may change annually.
There is no limitation on persons who are eligible recipients of scholarships. Scholarships will be given without regard to race, creed, religion, national origin, gender, financial need, or employment status of prospective recipients or of any relative of any prospective recipient.
Please return a completed and signed application form to the PIA Kansas office at PO Box 1241, Manhattan KS 66505 by July 1st of each year. Notices will not be sent to applicants not selected to receive a scholarship. Applicants may call the Kansas office after July 1st of each year, to inquire about the status of their application at 785.232.4143.
